UEFA Champions League 2020 : Matchday 1 Review

Matchday 1 is over and we are here to review some important fixtures, so let's get started. Inter Milan 1-1 Slavia Praha Inter Milan’s attack has been charged up with the arrival of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez but it seems it might take some more time for new players to settle and adjust their gameplay at Inter. Though Inter tied the match in extra time, most probably it won’t happen in upcoming matches. Chelsea 0-1 Valencia After a very good performance in EPL, Chelsea failed to deliver a single goal and missed a crucial penalty in the last 10 minutes. Was Ronaldo the only reason Zidane did so well as Real Madrid manager?

Zinedine Zidane has been one of the best coaches for Real Madrid. He used great tactics and substitution to rescue his team from tough times. I would like to mention the 2016–17 season of Real Madrid, Where Real did comeback for almost 10 times in a season. Each game was full of thriller and during tough situations, Zidane’s mastermind saved the team from time to time. Now speaking of Ronaldo, He was the best goalscorer in the team and teammates also helped him a lot to create key passes which he converted almost every time. Zidane recognized Ronaldo’s dominance in opponents 18 yards D-box and made his tactics keeping Ronaldo at center. Zidane not only used Ronaldo at its best, but also Kroos, Modric, Casemiro, Isco, Marcelo and Carvajal. If you look closely at Real’s play during Zidane’s time, you can clearly observe all players targeted ball to Ronaldo when they were near to goal arena. This worked like magic every time. Thanks to Real Madrid fans who criticized Ronaldo whenever h

Why does Real Madrid always buy a developed player and not promote one from their youth graduates?

Real Madrid does have their own academy for young talents called La Fabrica, but most of them were transferred to other teams in return of money. Second thing, Real Madrid is a very rich club and they always want to win. Maybe, this is the reason they go for top-notch footballers. We can see this with Real’s transfer business that they always want best in their team and players around the globe are also excited to play for them, which in turn makes things easy for them. Here are some examples: Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid from Manchester United for £80 million 2. Bale moved to Real Madrid from Hotspurs for £77 million 3. Kaka moved to Real Madrid from Milan for €68.5 million Third reason, why they don't promote a player is, it may take some time for the player to develop, and in addition to that, Real doesn’t provide good playtime for newbies, just because of that young players either leave the club for other good clubs which will provide good playtime or go on loan.
